Dr. Simone Lemieux graduated from the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2005. She has served as a small animal general practitioner in Wake County for twelve years. She has worked extensively with animal rescue groups and animal shelters in Wake and Durham counties. In 2015 Dr. Simone enrolled in the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA). Dr. Simone continues her studies at the Chi Institute, pursuing certification in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Growing up, Dr. Simone’s family moved often throughout the western United Stated and Canada. After graduating from Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming, she attended the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature.
Calling Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina home, Dr. Simone lives with her husband, two boys, two dogs and one cat. When she is not working, Dr. Simone enjoys spending time with her family, baking and cooking, creating stained glass project, swims with a Masters Swim Team, and is training for her first sprint triathlon.
